A horizontal split casing pump is a unique type of horizontal pump, whose casing is divided into two distinct chambers which is different from end suction pump that are assembled with suction nozzle, discharge nozzle & casing in one chamber.

Split casing pump are designed as suction and discharge nozzle in the bottom half of casing side by side, while the impeller shaft is positioned between two bearing one on each side.
